The Fountain in Spanish Steps Rome, Italy

It was quite an adventurous trip we had in Rome last summer 2010. First, it was our first trip in this city and second we have to discover Rome by ourselves. Departing from Nuremberg Airport in Germany, me and my friend Nonna from the United States boarded Air Berlin to spend some days in Italy’s capital city.

To make the story short, we arrived in Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport safely. Hired a ban to bring us to our hotel. It was already evening as we arrived our hotel, thus the sightseeing began the next day.

One of the sights we visited is the Spanish Steps. Since it was summer when we went to Rome, a lot of tourists flocked in Italy’s capital city. The Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti as it is called in Italian is actually a set of steps leading to Trinità dei Monti, a church at the top of it. It is located between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti. You can see fountain near the foot of the Spanish Steps

The fountain near the foot of the Spanish Steps during our trip in Rome last August 2010. The Scalita or Spanish Steps is known to be the widest staircase in Europe.
