Miss the Beat of the Drums in a German Festival

Festivities and celebrations, these are some of the things I love in Europe especially in  Germany. Can you imagine visiting the world’s largest funfair called the Oktoberfest? Yes, I was there many times and I truly had fun. I might not be a fan of beer drinking but I try it sometimes. I don’t really drink when I travel especially when I am alone hitting the road.

I also love the small festivals in Germany especially  in the region of Bavaria. Through out the year, you can experience many festivals,  big and small. One of the smaller festival I love in  Bavaria is the Tillyfest.  What I love  here are the medieval costumes they are using including  the looks of the medieval music instruments. I cannot imagine  if a stephen carpenter signature guitar would be featured here. For sure, there will be more fun during the celebration.

As you can  see in the photo here, the drums looked like medieval ones. I know they are modern and they just accessorized it to look like during the medieval times.  After the parade, a live show on stage featuring  musicians playing guitars, drums and other musical instruments  can be witnessed.  Festivals like Tillyfest are worth to see and experience.  I will for sure visit it again  when time is possible.
